There are two ways to buy Asana licenses in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC. You can buy online from Asana in US dollars by credit card, or through a certified Asana partner. A partner invoices you locally in AED, SAR or USD, and you can pay by bank transfer or credit card.
Through Vistar, Asana licenses cost the same as buying from Asana directly. Vistar is an Asana Gold Solutions Partner with offices in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, so customers in both countries get a local tax invoice from a local company.
This guide covers Asana's plans and prices in AED and SAR, the VAT and tax rules that apply in each GCC country, how seats and renewals work, and how to buy, renew or upgrade.
Buying from Asana directly vs through a local partner
Both routes give you the same Asana product, plans and features. The difference is how you pay, what invoice you receive and who supports you.
| Buy online from Asana | Buy through Vistar | |
|---|---|---|
| License price | Asana's list price | Same as Asana's list price |
| Currency | USD | AED, SAR or USD |
| Payment | Credit card (online checkout) | Bank transfer to a local account, or credit card |
| Invoice | From Asana, a foreign supplier | Local tax invoice from Vistar's UAE or KSA company |
| VAT handling | Usually self-accounted by your business under reverse charge | VAT shown on a local invoice |
| Purchase orders and vendor registration | Asana's own process | Vistar can register as a local vendor and work with your PO process |
| Support | Asana's global support | Local team in UAE and KSA time zones, plus escalation to Asana |
| Onboarding and training | Self-serve resources | Onboarding from certified consultants, in Arabic or English |
| Renewals | Automatic renewal on your card | Renewal reminders and seat review before each renewal |
For a small team paying by card, buying online works well. For companies that need a local invoice, a purchase order process, bank transfer or local support, a partner is usually simpler.
Asana plans and prices in AED and SAR (2026)
Asana Advanced costs about AED 92 or SAR 94 per user per month on annual billing. Paying annually saves about 18% compared with monthly billing. Prices below are per user per month, excluding VAT.
| Plan | Best for | Annual billing (USD / AED / SAR) | Monthly billing (USD / AED / SAR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | Individuals and very small teams | Free | Free |
| Starter | Growing teams tracking projects and deadlines | $10.99 / AED 40.36 / SAR 41.21 | $13.49 / AED 49.54 / SAR 50.59 |
| Advanced | Teams that need goals, portfolios, workload and approvals | $24.99 / AED 91.78 / SAR 93.71 | $30.49 / AED 111.97 / SAR 114.34 |
| Enterprise | Organizations needing SAML, SCIM, resource management and 24/7 support | Quote on request | Quote on request |
| Enterprise+ | Regulated organizations needing audit logs, data retention and advanced data controls | Quote on request | Quote on request |
USD prices are Asana's published list prices (https://asana.com/pricing). AED and SAR figures are converted at the fixed pegs of 3.6725 AED and 3.75 SAR to the dollar. Ask Vistar for an exact quote, as Asana can change prices.
Example: 20 users on Asana Advanced, billed annually, cost $5,997.60 a year. In the UAE that is about AED 22,026 plus 5% VAT (AED 1,101), or AED 23,128 in total. In Saudi Arabia it is SAR 22,491 plus 15% VAT (SAR 3,374), or SAR 25,865 in total.
Which plan should you choose? Most companies in the region choose Advanced. Goals, portfolios, workload management and approvals are what leadership teams usually want from Asana. Starter suits single teams managing their own projects. Enterprise is worth a quote once you need single sign-on (SAML), automatic user provisioning (SCIM) or company-wide controls.
VAT, invoices and tax in each GCC country
Tax is where buying locally makes the biggest difference, especially in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. A foreign supplier like Asana leaves your finance team to self-account for VAT and, in Saudi Arabia, possibly to withhold tax. A local invoice avoids most of that work.
| Country | Standard VAT | Buying from a foreign supplier | Buying through Vistar |
|---|---|---|---|
| UAE | 5% | VAT-registered businesses self-account under reverse charge | Local tax invoice with 5% VAT from Vistar's UAE company |
| Saudi Arabia | 15% | Reverse charge VAT, and withholding tax may apply to payments to non-residents | Local tax invoice with 15% VAT from Vistar's Saudi company |
| Bahrain | 10% | Reverse charge on imported services | Invoice from Vistar's UAE company; reverse charge still applies |
| Oman | 5% | Reverse charge on imported services | Invoice from Vistar's UAE company; reverse charge still applies |
| Qatar | No VAT | Not applicable | Invoice in USD, payable by bank transfer |
| Kuwait | No VAT | Not applicable | Invoice in USD, payable by bank transfer |
UAE: when a VAT-registered UAE business buys software from a supplier outside the UAE, it must account for the VAT itself under the reverse charge mechanism, report it on its VAT return and keep the right paperwork (Andersen UAE on FTA clarification VATP044). With a UAE invoice, VAT is simply shown on the bill.
Saudi Arabia: besides reverse charge VAT, Saudi companies paying non-resident suppliers may need to withhold tax. Software licenses and SaaS subscriptions can be treated as royalties at 15%, and technical services at 5% (Wafeq, Sep 2026; ZATCA software guidance). Withholding tax generally applies only to payments to non-residents. Buying from Vistar's Saudi-registered company keeps the purchase local.
VAT rates are from Kintsugi's 2026 Middle East guide. Tax treatment depends on your company's situation, so confirm with your tax adviser.
How seats, billing and renewals work
Asana sells paid plans in fixed seat bands, not one seat at a time. All active members of your workspace need a seat on the same plan.
| Workspace size | Seats are sold in steps of |
|---|---|
| Up to 30 users | 5 |
| 30 to 100 users | 10 |
| 100 to 500 users | 25 |
| Over 500 users | 50 |
- Minimum: paid plans start at 2 seats. There is no single-user paid plan.
- Guests: people outside your company email domain can usually join as free guests with limited access.
- Annual or monthly: annual billing is about 18% cheaper. Through Vistar, you can switch from monthly to annual at any time.
- Adding seats: you can add seats mid-term; the extra seats are prorated to your renewal date.
- Upgrading: moving from Starter to Advanced, or Advanced to Enterprise, can be done mid-term.
- Renewals: Vistar reminds you before each renewal and reviews active users, so you don't pay for seats nobody uses.
How to buy Asana licenses through Vistar
Most orders are completed within a few working days, from first call to licenses active.

- Raise your purchase order. We can register as a vendor in your procurement system and work with your PO process.
- Pay by bank transfer or card. You receive a local tax invoice and pay into a local bank account.
- Licenses activated. We activate seats on your existing Asana workspace or set up a new one. Your projects and data stay exactly where they are.
- Onboarding and support. Your team gets onboarding from certified consultants in Arabic or English, plus local support and renewal reminders after that.
Already paying Asana directly? You can move your subscription to Vistar at your next renewal, or when you upgrade or add seats. Nothing changes in your workspace; only the billing moves.
